By booking a tour package with Sundarban Eco Tour or using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not proceed with a booking or use our services.

Enquiry & Booking

All tour bookings begin with an enquiry submitted through our website, phone, WhatsApp, or email. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a booking confirmation message or email from our team.

Advance Payment

An advance payment may be required to confirm your booking. The amount and payment method will be communicated at the time of confirmation. The remaining balance is payable before or at the start of the tour as agreed.

Booking Accuracy

You are responsible for ensuring that all details provided at the time of booking — including names, travel dates, number of travellers, accommodation preference, and special requirements — are accurate. Sundarban Eco Tour is not liable for issues arising from incorrect information provided by the guest.

All prices listed on our website are per person on a sharing basis unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed in writing. Confirmed bookings are protected from price changes.

Package Inclusions

Package prices include only the services explicitly listed under 'Package Includes' for each tour. Any services not mentioned in the inclusions list are considered excluded and will incur additional charges.

Cancellation by Guest

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or WhatsApp. The following cancellation charges apply:

• More than 15 days before departure: Advance payment forfeited

• 7 to 15 days before departure: 50% of total package cost

• Less than 7 days before departure: 100% of total package cost (no refund)

Cancellation by Sundarban Eco Tour

In exceptional circumstances — including severe weather, natural disasters, forest department restrictions, or safety concerns — Sundarban Eco Tour reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a tour. In such cases, guests will be offered a full refund or an alternative tour date. We shall not be liable for any additional costs incurred by guests, including travel or accommodation expenses.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed within 7 to 14 working days via the original payment method or bank transfer as agreed.

The itinerary provided for each tour package is indicative and subject to change based on weather conditions, river tides, forest department regulations, permit availability, and other local factors beyond our control. We will make every reasonable effort to deliver the planned experience, but we cannot guarantee that every activity or site visit will take place exactly as described.

Vehicle & Boat Changes

Vehicles or boats may be changed due to technical, operational, weather, or safety-related requirements. Such changes do not constitute grounds for cancellation or refund.

Wildlife Sightings

The Sundarbans is a wild and natural environment. Wildlife sightings — including the Royal Bengal Tiger — cannot be guaranteed. Sundarban Eco Tour is not responsible for the absence of wildlife during any safari.

Guest Responsibility

All guests are required to follow the instructions of our tour coordinators, guides, boat crew, and local staff at all times. Non-compliance with safety instructions or forest department rules may result in immediate termination of the tour without refund.

Forest Department Regulations

Guests must comply with all rules and regulations set by the Sundarbans forest department, including restrictions on photography, noise levels, and movement within protected areas.

All guests must carry a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g. Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving Licence) throughout the tour. Foreign nationals must carry their original passport. Sundarban Eco Tour is not responsible for denied entry to the forest reserve due to failure to carry valid identification.

Guests with pre-existing medical conditions are advised to consult their physician before booking. You are responsible for carrying all personal and essential medicines required during the tour. Sundarban Eco Tour and its staff are not responsible for any medical emergencies that occur during the tour, although our team will make every effort to provide assistance in such situations.

Sundarban Eco Tour acts as a tour organiser and facilitator. While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience, we are not liable for:

• Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings during the tour

• Personal injury, illness, or accident during the tour

• Delays, changes, or cancellations caused by weather, natural events, or authority restrictions

• Actions or omissions of third-party service providers including accommodation, transport, or boat operators

• Any indirect or consequential losses arising from participation in our tours

We strongly recommend that all guests obtain appropriate travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, personal accident, and loss of belongings. Sundarban Eco Tour does not provide travel insurance as part of any package.

Children aged 1 to below 4 years travel complimentary. Children aged 4 to below 8 years are charged at 50% of the applicable package price. Children aged 8 years and above are charged the full package price. Parents or guardians are responsible for the safety and supervision of children in their care during the tour.

Sundarban Eco Tour reserves the right to refuse service or terminate participation of any guest whose behaviour is deemed disruptive, dangerous, offensive, or harmful to other guests, staff, wildlife, or the environment. In such cases, no refund will be provided.

Still camera usage is permitted where applicable as per forest department rules. Video cameras and drones may require additional permits. Guests are responsible for obtaining any required permissions and for complying with all photography restrictions in protected areas.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of West Bengal, India.

Sundarban Eco Tour reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
